I have a vision for a cozy fantasy book.
The idea has changed multiple times, truth be told!
The thought went from being a novel, to being an episodic release.
First of all, I would like to connect with readers, in a meaningful way.
Interactive even.
For example the title was going to be Tales from the Enchanted Dreamweaver Forest.
But I think I am going to drop the word enchanted. It could be overkill?
Shouldn’t I trust readers to know that Dreamweaver already says “enchanted”?
What do you think?
So now, I will be writing “mini-books” possibly releasing a chapter at a time,
or at least for the first mini-book. So this means, finding the best
social media platforms. I definitely had a fear, oh I can’t do this,
it’s so much work, so much learning curves, for example setting up a substack account.
But so far, it’s been fun. Medium has been fun and a good exercise in
consistency after I posted every day for 33 days.
I started on Threads and that one feels low stress, so far, just a big chat room.
My next step is Substack and I am actually a bit fearful of that,
I will be watching YouTube videos for awhile first.
I did set up an account with my name. and then closed it.

Also Me: You got this, girl!
What I mean by interactive with readers, is for example, the title, should I drop the word “Enchanted” from the title.
Does the word “Dreamweaver” indicate anything?
That is, it is about a healing retreat where people’s dreams can come true.
Is that the vibes you get from that title?
What would you love to see in a healing retreat?
There is another reason I decided to go the direct release route.
I did some research with Chatgpt about traditional publishing and self publishing.
As I was brainstorming, I realized that since the book is written in an episodic manner, so it could be released that way as well.
But it was the comment from Chat that I found…true, shocking, funny, ironic.
Basically Chatgpt said “You don’t have enough time left to go the traditional publishing route.”
As in traditional route can take years, years to get an agent, an editor, a publisher and then a few more years to print.
I am mid 60s, Chat didn’t sugar coat – you don’t have enough time!

Also Me: It’s not wrong.
What a direct Call to Action challenge to me from the Universe.
